🇫🇷 « Le Procès Pelicot » – Une nuit de théâtre choral au Festival d’Avignon
Présenté dans le IN du Festival d’Avignon 2025, Le Procès Pelicot est une œuvre scénique puissante imaginée par Milo Rau et Servane Dècle, à partir d’un procès devenu symbole de la lutte contre les violences faites aux femmes.
Pensé comme une nuit de lectures scéniques, le spectacle rassemble une cinquantaine d’interprètes dans une forme chorale, sobre et engagée. Sur la scène du cloître des Carmes, se succèdent lectures d’interrogatoires, de plaidoyers, de témoignages et d’analyses, composant un récit collectif de ce moment d’histoire. La mise en scène donne toute sa place à l’écoute, à la mémoire et à la discussion publique.
Serge Kakudji, aux côtés de Marie-Christine Barrault, ouvre et clôture la soirée par une intervention vocale d’une grande intensité, apportant à cette œuvre un souffle à la fois intime et universel.
Salué par la critique comme l’un des moments les plus forts du festival, Le Procès Pelicot fait du théâtre un espace de conscience et de transmission.

Presented as part of the 2025 official selection of the Festival d’Avignon, The Pelicot Trial is a powerful stage work conceived by Milo Rau and Servane Dècle, based on a landmark trial that has become a symbol in the fight against gender-based violence.
Staged as a night of public readings, the piece brings together around fifty performers in a collective, sober, and committed form. On the Cloître des Carmes stage, the performance unfolds through the reading of interrogations, pleadings, testimonies, and reflections — composing a shared narrative of a historic moment. The direction allows space for listening, remembrance, and public dialogue.
Serge Kakudji, alongside Marie-Christine Barrault, opens and closes the evening with a powerful vocal performance that adds both intimacy and universality to the work.
