Claire Diterzi poursuit avec L’Arbre en poche sa démarche à la croisée des musiques et des arts de la scène. Les douze chansons de son huitième album forment la bande originale du spectacle qu’elle a écrit et mis en scène. Elle confie pour la première fois certaines de ses compositions à une autre voix, celle du contre-ténor Serge Kakudji.

Inspiré du Baron perché d’Italo Calvino, L’Arbre en poche raconte l’histoire d’un jeune garçon interprété par Serge Kakudji. Il décide de monter dans un arbre et de ne plus en redescendre. Du haut de son moabi, il tente d’empêcher la dévastation des forêts de son Congo natal.
Il rencontre une sorcière jouée et chantée par Claire Diterzi. Entre récit d’émancipation, concept album et tragi-comédie, l’œuvre porte aussi un manifeste contre les ravages infligés par l’être humain à l’environnement.

Claire Diterzi has spent more than twenty years bringing music into dialogue with other performing arts. The twelve songs on her eighth album form the soundtrack to L’Arbre en poche, the show she wrote and directed. For the first time, she entrusts some of her compositions to another voice: countertenor Serge Kakudji.
Inspired by Italo Calvino’s The Baron in the Trees, the show follows a boy who climbs a tree and refuses to come down. From there, he fights the destruction of the forests in his native Congo. The work combines a concept album and theatrical storytelling with a message about the damage people do to the environment.
