🇫🇷 Serge Kakudji dans Antigone de Pascal Dusapin – Création mondiale à la Philharmonie de Paris

La Philharmonie de Paris accueille cette semaine la création mondiale de Antigone, nouvelle œuvre de Pascal Dusapin, figure majeure de la musique contemporaine. Pensé comme un « opératorio », entre oratorio et opéra, ce projet s’inspire de la tragédie de Sophocle, dans la version allemande de Friedrich Hölderlin, et explore avec force les tensions entre loi, mémoire et résistance.
Serge Kakudji y interprète l’un des rôles principaux aux côtés de l’Orchestre de Paris, sous la direction de Klaus Mäkelä. La mise en scène immersive et visuelle de Netia Jones, intégrant vidéo et scénographie en direct, amplifie la tension dramatique de la partition, notamment lors du poignant monologue Oh mir!.
Figure de révolte et de fidélité aux lois non écrites, Antigone continue d’inspirer les artistes contemporains. Après Médée et Penthésilée, Pascal Dusapin poursuit ici sa réflexion musicale sur les grandes figures féminines de la tragédie.
Coproduit avec La Villette, ce spectacle sera prochainement diffusé sur ARTE Concert et Philharmonie Live, et sur France Musique le 29 octobre 2025 à 20h.

This week, the Philharmonie de Paris presents the world premiere of Antigone, a new work by acclaimed composer Pascal Dusapin, whose music continues to explore the emotional and symbolic depth of ancient myth. Described as an “operatorio” — blending oratorio and opera — the piece is based on Sophocles’ tragedy, through the lens of Hölderlin’s German translation, weaving a dialogue between ancient Greece, German Romanticism, and contemporary sound.
Serge Kakudji joins the cast in a major role, performing alongside the Orchestre de Paris, conducted by Klaus Mäkelä. The staging by Netia Jones, combining live video and visual design, heightens the emotional intensity of the score, particularly in moments such as the striking Oh mir! monologue.
Reimagined as a voice of resistance and moral clarity, Antigone is central to Dusapin’s continued engagement with powerful female figures of classical myth, following works on Medea and Penthesilea.
A co-production with La Villette, the performance will be broadcast on ARTE Concert and Philharmonie Live, and aired on France Musique on October 29, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
